Greetings, Opportunities Edge is on September 30, 2010!

This year's "Opportunities Edge" is once again hosted by St. Peter's College and Saskatchewan Career and Employment Services.  "Opportunities Edge" will give students from Grades 9 and up the chance to speak with various groups and organizations about their future education and career paths. 

We have an excellent lineup of exhibitors and presenters from post-secondary and trades.  As this is a joint effort of SPC and Saskatchewan Career and Employment Services, there will not be a separate trade and apprenticeship fair later in the year.  There are over 35 different organizations that have already committed and we are expecting more to join.  This will give your students the opportunity to explore colleges, universities, trades and employment options.  Attached is a list of groups attending and additional information.

Registration for Lunch and Sessions

The day is day is divided into 5 structured sessions for the students.  There will be a central gathering area, from this area they will be escorted to each presentation or the exhibition hall.  At the end of the session they will be brought back to the central area.  We encourage each student to choose two to three presentations based on their registration form and spend the rest of their time in the exhibition hall.  Registration form can be downloaded here.

The students will be given "A Passport to The Future".  As they travel throughout the exhibition hall and ask questions, they will collect stamps.  Once they have completed their passports, they can be entered for a fantastic door prize!

Student lunches will be available for $4.50 or $6.50.  These lunches must be pre-ordered on the student registration forms included in with package.  Please collect the lunch money from the students and drop it off at the registration desk when you arrive at Opportunities Edge.

 Tours of the college and abbey will be available.  There will be a teachers'/guidance counselors' lounge and lunch provided.
