Allan Casey Wins Governor General's Literary Award
St. Peter's Professor Allan Casey received the Governor General's Award for Nonfiction on Tuesday, November 16, 2010 for his first book, Lakeland: Journeys into the Soul of Canada (Greystone Books, an imprint of D&M Publishers / David Suzuki Foundation; distributed by HarperCollins Canada).
As the official release states: "This book takes readers on an enchanting and enlightening journey across Canada, exploring a quintessential element of the Canadian landscape and its very soul - lakeland.
