2009 ABEX Finalists Announced

The Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the 2009 Achievement in Business Excellence (ABEX) Award finalists. 52 exceptional businesses have been selected as finalists in the 14 ABEX Award categories.

"Our province is home to some incredibly innovative businesses and the 2009 ABEX finalists highlight not only the incredible perseverance of Saskatchewan business through this uncertain economic time, but the potential of our province in the future," noted Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce CEO Steve McLellan.

Finalists for the 2009 ABEX Awards represent a variety of towns and cities throughout Saskatchewan.

"From Saskatoon to Rouleau, Regina to Leross and everywhere in between, entrepreneurs in Saskatchewan are growing the economy, creating jobs and improving our province," continued McLellan. "The ABEX Awards offer an opportunity for us to showcase and applaud these accomplishments."

The ABEX Awards were established 26 years ago to celebrate the achievements of private sector businesses in Saskatchewan. Since then, they have become the largest private sector business awards in the province with over hundreds business leaders attending the Awards last year. Hundreds of Saskatchewan businesses have also participated in the ABEX Awards as either a nominee or finalist.

The ABEX Awards are open to any private sector business registered to operate in Saskatchewan regardless of size, location or industry.

Winners will be announced at the 2009 ABEX Awards Dinner being held on Saturday, October 24, 2009 at TCU Place in Saskatoon. Tickets for the ABEX Awards are available online at www.saskchamber.com.
