The University of Saskatchewan College of Agriculture and Bioresources, TCU Place and CropLife Canada Present E.O. WILSON FRONTIERS IN SCIENCE*
Two time winner of the Pulitzer prize for general non-fiction
The College of Agriculture and Bioresources, University of Saskatchewan, together with TCU Place and CropLife Canada, present Edward O. Wilson, PhD, as the Frontiers in Science* speaker October 5 and 6.
Wilson was the winner of two Pulitzer prizes for his books Ants and On Human Nature and was named one of "America's 25 most influential people" by Times Magazine. Today, he is a professor of biology at Harvard University. In his lectures, Wilson draws on the ideas of his best-selling book, The Future of Life, to make a passionate and eloquent plea for a new approach to the management and protection of our eco-system. Marshalling arguments from science, economics, and ethics, he demonstrates that proper stewardship of the earth's bio-diversity is not an option - it is a necessity and a choice we must make if life is going to continue to thrive on the only home we have. *The Frontiers In Science lecture series is made possible through a substantial gift from CropLife Canada to the College of Agriculture and Bioresources in celebration of the 100th Anniversary of the College and the University of Saskatchewan.
