SPC Alum Addison Thiel's Band Palliate to play Vonda
SPC alum Addison Thiel (2006-08, multiple award winner and Chancellor's Honour Roll) decided to take a break this year from his post-secondary studies to persue this "band thing" full time. The band, Palliate consisting of four guys, plays it's premier gig this Saturday (September 26) at the Vonda Street Dance. The show will have three other performers including Cold Red, Quick Shift and a Coyote Ugly type-show.
Addison explains a little about his band, "We have been together since about April/May (around that time I think). We have 8 of our own songs that we play and no covers at the moment. Our genre is neo-pop-punk, and we sound something like a mixture of Blink-182, Nickelback, Strung Out, Ten Second Epic, and other bands similar to that. We practice 2 to 3 times a week in our bassists garage. The gig this Saturday will be our first one, and we will be looking to record a demo soon."
