Scholarships and Awards Ceremony
NUMEROUS SCHOLARSHIPS AND AWARDS PRESENTED AT
ST. PETER'S COLLEGE
A substantial number of scholarships and awards were presented at the Annual St. Peter's College Awards Ceremony held at St. Peter's College on November 21st.
This year, over $38,000 of scholarships and awards were presented to St. Peter's College students for their leadership, positive role modeling and academic achievements. Students receiving external awards from the University of Saskatchewan were recognized at the event bringing the total value of awards received by St. Peter's College students to more than $67,000.
"We are proud of the achievements of our students. These students are the future of our communities, province, country and world. We are recognizing them for what they have achieved, and we are recognizing them for their potential of what they will become," said Glen Kobussen, president of St. Peter's College.
"Thanks to growing community and donor support, we offer more scholarships, bursaries and other awards than ever before. As a result, students receive financial support to celebrate leadership, positive role modeling and academic achievement. Our awards also fund the education of those who might otherwise not have had the opportunity," said Rob Harasymchuk, vice president and provost of St. Peter's College.
St. Peter's College is affiliated with the University of Saskatchewan. Many students attend St. Peter's College to take their first and second year of Arts and Science, their first year of Business/Commerce, Agriculture or Kinesiology or to fulfill the entry requirements to colleges such as Medicine, Law, Nutrition, Pharmacy and Education.
