Student Success – It’s ALWAYS our #1 priority!
Dear Friends & Alumni,
St. Peter’s College has completed another successful year. The students have finished their classes for this year and begin their final exams this week.
St. Peter’s College has received some media coverage recently because a proposed merger with the Carlton Trail Regional College in Humboldt did not go through. Our staff and management had been working on this project for more than a year and this recent announcement has helped us refocus on our 90-year tradition of providing an excellent post-secondary education for our students. They remain our #1 priority.
The Ministry of Advanced Education, Employment and Immigration, which did a review of the proposed merger, also asked St. Peter’s College to review its governance and financial management. The College welcomes this review and looks forward to cooperating fully with the Ministry.
You are a valued partner and advocate for St. Peter’s College through your association with us. I want to tell you about what’s happening here. St. Peter’s College always has been, and always will be, about students.
Renovations - We are renewing.
Our renovation to Michael Hall will be complete in June, giving St. Peter’s students state-of-the-art labs, classrooms, and study areas. St. Peter’s also provides a dynamic student experience in a safe, friendly and supportive environment.
Enrolment is up - We are expanding.
Our enrollment continues to grow. Our enrollment numbers indicate that we have 56 per cent more students here this year than there were two years ago (2008). The number of students that have signed up for next fall are double of what we had in 2008.
More residents - We are growing.
Our student resident spots are increasing in demand. In partnership with St. Peter’s Abbey, the College is responding to the growing number of students who want to live on campus in the upcoming year by increasing our student residence capacity by over 86 per cent.
Our prioritySt. Peter’s College’s commitment to academic excellence, quality programming and enhanced facilities is always our #1 priority. The faculty, staff, alumni and donors of St. Peter’s College provide important support so students can focus on studying in order to succeed and excel. Because of this, our students are the leaders you see every day in business, industry, government and our communities.
